DKV and ROLAND Assistance celebrate 25 years of partnership
DKV Euro Service and Roland Assistance are celebrating their silver partnership; a jubilee that is considered as unique in both the insurance and the transport & logistics sector.
This month, DKV Euro Service and Roland Assistance are celebrating their silver partnership; a jubilee that is considered as unique in both the insurance and the transport & logistics sector.
Cooperation was taken up in 1992, when DKV Euro Service and ROLAND Assistance jointly founded the DKV emergency service (now named DKV ASSIST). Over the years, this service was to grow out into a potent, effective 24-hr service in the customer’s interest. It has its roots in the huge need for an emergency and breakdown service that made itself felt at the time. Not in the last place because the entire haulage field saw a great boom after the German reunification, with a strong increase in east-west transportation as one of its effects.
Gertjan Breij, Managing Director DKV Euro Service Benelux: “It is in our DNA to relieve our customers from the strain that comes with doing loads of paperwork, but also to consult and actually support them in cases of emergency. It is this last aspect that we have now been providing for 25 years, straight from the moment that we first sensed our customers’ need for support in emergencies, also outside office hours, at night and during weekends. By now our customers have the opportunity to arrange and pay every form of service they need for handling their case via the DKV emergency centre. Apart from breakdown & repair service and card blocking assistance in case of theft or loss, our products now come in a very wide range; a development we are proud of. We also take great pride in having been able to continuously and successfully develop our product range together, adapting it to our customers’ needs and requirements.”
In addition to breakdown & repair service and the possibility of card blocking in case of theft or loss DKV ASSIST offers many more services, like setting individual purchase limits for customers, arranging substitute transport, providing translation and interpreting services, arranging hotel bookings for drivers and possible passengers, providing cash and assisting in substituting or ordering official documents.
Frank Feist, General Director ROLAND Assistance adds: “Unique aspects of our services include a special focus on truck transport and the excellent skills of our people, technical as well as linguistic. Our services are provided in virtually every European language, by expert technicians, straight from the very first telephone call. Our 25 years of experience have enabled us to offer DKV customers a degree of added value unequalled by any second provider in the market. In the next years we will moreover be digitalising our various procedures for DKV customers even more. This way we will continue to meet our customers’ requirements amidst market evolutions.”
