DKV celebrates 55,555th petrol station
Alternative fuels become more important / systematic expansion by 3,500 stations per year planned / charging network to be developed as well
Marco Berardelli and Malika Helten from DKV awarded EKOPOINT petrol station operator Stefano Cantarelli. His station marked the 55,555th petrol station added to DKV’s service station network covering 42 countries across Europe. The EKOPOINT petrol station primarily has a focus on alternative fuels which extends the already existing DKV network in this regard. Including toll stations, repair shops and loading points, the DKV acceptance network now comprises over 100,000 service points.
"It is very important that the appropriate infrastructure is available if the energy revolution is to succeed," says Marco Berardelli. "Multi-energy filling stations such as EKOPOINT, which offer LNG, LPG and hydrogen in addition to conventional fuels, are enormously important for us. We are setting up todays network to be able to fulfil the future supply needs of the industry". DKV is therefore planning to massively expand its overall supply network in the coming years - by 3,500 filling stations per year all over Europe and beyond. In addition, the charging point network for electric and hybrid vehicles is going to be expanded consistently.
