What you need to know about the truck toll in Poland
In Poland a route-related electronic toll applies for all vehicles (buses, trucks and cars). The tolls in Poland is debited electronically via the viaBOX (On-Board-Unit/OBU) and invoiced via DKV Euro Service. The viaBOX is for vehicles over 3.5 tonnes and for buses which, regardless of their total weight, have more than nine seats (including the driver).
DKV allows you to settle the toll in Poland on all sections of the toll road network, including all the sections that do not yet provide fully electronic toll collection (settlement is done using the DKV CARD):
It should be noted that different toll charges apply for the A1, A2, A4, and the viaTOLL network.
Vignettes remain in use for cars (vehicles under 3.5 tonnes). DKV customers can pay for these using their DKV CARD.
The use of an OBU is optional for cars, whereas only the ViaBOX (for vehicles over 3.5 t.) can be obtained and billed through DKV.
Choose between two attractive options
1. Pre-pay procedure
When passing the toll station, the toll is electronically debited using the viaBOX, which is pre-purchased and loaded with credit, using the DKV CARD, at one of the
viaBOX distribution points, contact points or distribution points near the border.
2. Post-pay procedure
The fully electronic toll network records the kilometres actually covered. The toll charges are settled afterwards using the viaBOX, simply and conveniently, so there is no need to constantly load credit. This procedure is especially suitable for frequent drivers.Apply for the DKV CARD now
