IAA Commercial Vehicles 2018: DKV and TomTom present DKV ECO BUNDLE

Fuel savings of up to 15 percent possible

DKV Euro Service will cooperate with TomTom (TOM2) in the future. This was announced by the navigation device manufacturer TomTom at its opening press conference at the IAA Commercial Vehicles 2018. Based on TomTom's expertise in the areas of vehicle maps, navigation, traffic and routing and DKV's experience in on-the-road supply, the app-based product package DKV ECO BUNDLE has been developed, which will be available on TomTom Bridge devices from 2019.

The apps DKV ECO DRIVING and DKV REFUEL PLANNING will be combined with the DKV BONIFICATION system. DKV ECO DRIVING uses telematics data to help the driver develop a more efficient driving style. DKV REFUEL PLANNING guides the truck driver by the shortest and cheapest route to the cheapest petrol station.

"I am convinced that this partnership is a good start to create synergies in digital solutions and to help the driver benefit from a more efficient driving style," says Dr. Hendrik Rosenboom, Chief Digital Officer and Managing Director at DKV MOBILITY SERVICES BUSINESS CENTER. "Our expertise in Europe-wide on-the-go supply and TomTom's expertise in navigation and routing complement each other perfectly".

Demos of the new applications can be tested throughout the entire IAA Commercial Vehicles on the TomTom Bridge stand (Hall 25, E53).
