innogy and DKV found joint venture, Charge4Europe

European-wide services for EV fleets / White-label technology services for B2B customers / Access to European-wide charging network as white-label product

Comprehensive services for commercial EV fleet operators all over Europe from a single source – that is what innogy and mobility service provider DKV plan to offer under their joint venture, Charge4Europe. The two companies signed the joint venture agreement today in Ratingen, which is now subject to the approval of the relevant regulatory authorities. innogy and DKV will each have a 50 percent share in Charge4Europe.

A significant increase in the demand for user-friendly, end-to-end solutions and services for EV fleets is anticipated, particularly from commercial customers. innogy and DKV are founding the Charge4Europe company to meet this very need. “Under the future joint venture, we will work together to develop a European-wide roaming network of public charging points for EV fleets”, says Sven Mehringer, Managing Director of Fuel/Energy and Vehicle Services at DKV Euro Service.

Markus Dehn, Vice President Product Management Electric Mobility at innogy, adds: “We plan to offer the Charge4Europe European-wide roaming network to our B2B customers as a white-label technology service. This will allow them to bring their own electric mobility products to market and sell them to their clients under their own brand name.”

In order to be able to offer additional solutions for charging at home and at work (@home, @work) to its customers, DKV will also enter into a sales partnership with innogy that extends beyond the terms of the joint venture. This will allow DKV customers to order wall-mounted boxes and charging points from the mobility service provider and have them installed at home and at work, with transparent billing via their employer.
