3rd place at the Digital Leader Award 2019 / "DKV goes digital" holistic digitization project convinces jury of experts / First digital platform solution: DKV ECO TRUCKER
An independent jury of experts with renowned representatives from business, science and media has awarded the DKV MOBILITY SERVICES Group and its market company DKV Euro Service for their holistic digitization project "DKV goes digital: successfully shaping digital transformation". At the Digital Leader Award 2019, the mobility service provider and 111 applicants took third place. Mascha Lampert, Head of CX / UX and Frank Heimbürger, Head of Digital Solutions (both DKV MOBILITY SERVICES BUSINESS CENTER GmbH + Co. KG), accepted the award on 27 June at the BOLLE Festsälen in Berlin.
"DKV goes digital covers the topics of innovation and digitisation, culture and leadership, organisation and people - in short, the digital transformation of the entire company," explains Frank Heimbürger. To achieve this, the company launched numerous initiatives around three years ago to bring digital know-how into the company, digitise the existing business model and launch new digital products on the market.
Two New Departments and New Work Concept
Two new departments accelerate digital activities. The 'CX/UX' team lays the foundation for new business models with well-founded customer research. UX specialists take care of their further development. Digital Solutions' is the team for the development of digital business models. In addition, the New Work concept was established at the beginning of 2019. Together with its employees and a renowned architect, DKV has created a completely new, modern and digital working environment in a separate building. The concept promotes communication and collaboration. The motivation to learn agile methods and to let them flow into everyday life has increased significantly as a result.
First digital platform solution: DKV ECO TRUCKER
With the DKV ECO TRUCKER, DKV offers a new digital platform solution that enables professional drivers to reach the cheapest petrol station in the most economical way, receive tips on economical driving - and are rewarded for this with a bonus component. Thanks to its modular platform architecture, DKV ECO TRUCKER's range of functions can be flexibly adapted to the requirements of the respective partners and customers. At the beginning of June, DKV Euro Service and its partners TomTom Telematics, Daimler Fleetboard and STYLETRONIC presented a beta version of DKV ECO TRUCKER to the public for the first time at the transport logistic trade fair in Munich.
In five to ten years' time, the digital business models at DKV Euro Service should make a noticeable contribution to sales. The Digital Leader Award is presented in a competition to corporate leaders and leaders who have set an example in their company's digital transformation. The aim is to reward the achievements in the digitization of the organization and to honor the responsible leaders. The Digital Leader Award was initiated by IDG Business Media and Dimension Data.
