DKV Euro Service: News and press releases
DKV continues growth course through acquisitions
Acquisition of Alfa Transport Service VoF and Alfa Commercial Finance BV in the Netherlands / Strengthening and expansion of refund and financial services business units
As part of its international growth strategy, the DKV MOBILITY SERVICES Group, one of the leading mobility service providers in Europe, is acquiring the two Dutch companies Alfa Transport Service VoF (ATS) and Alfa Commercial Finance BV (ACF).
The acquisition of Alfa Transport Service will complement the existing refund business – the refund of VAT on goods and services purchased abroad – of the DKV Group and will support the expansion of its customer base. With the acquisition of Alfa Commercial Finance, DKV is expanding its service portfolio to include financial services such as factoring – the transfer of a company's receivables to a financial services institution.
Marco van Kalleveen, CEO of the DKV MOBILITY SERVICES Group, says: “With these two new acquisitions, we are rapidly continuing our expansion course. In addition to our core business with fuel cards and toll services, we also see significant potential in the areas of VAT refunds and financial services. This will expand our integrated service portfolio as the leading mobility service provider in Europe.”
Dr. Werner Grünewald, CFO of the DKV MOBILITY SERVICES Group, adds: “With these acquisitions, we are strengthening our core business on the one hand and investing in the expansion of our portfolio of financial services on the other. We look forward to working with ATS and ACF to further develop our business.”
Frank and Bert Dijkstra, Managing Directors and shareholders of ATS, say: “Over the past 30 years, together with our employees, we have succeeded in making ATS a leading international partner for transport companies, oil companies and fuel card providers. With the DKV Group, we have now found the best possible partner for our company's continued successful, fast-growing future.”
Bart Romeijn, CEO of ACF: "ACF is a leading, bank-independent provider of factoring services. With our financial services, we help our clients to act in an economically sustainable manner and to minimise the risk of insolvency due to outstanding debts. DKV will enable us to further strengthen and expand this business in the years to come".
ATS and ACF will in future be managed as independent units under the umbrella of the DKV Group. The acquisitions will not change anything for the existing customers of the two companies. The parties have agreed not to disclose the total amount of the transaction.
