With LEAD IN GREEN, we are committed to playing a pioneering role in helping our customers switch to alternative energies.

In 2021, we have set ourselves two clear goals: to reduce our carbon footprint by around 50% compared to 2019 and to help our customers reduce the CO₂ intensity of their fleets by 30% by 2030 compared to 2019.

Governance

At DKV Mobility, we strive to act in an environment of trust, transparency and responsibility in the interests of all stakeholders. We have a systematic risk, information security and data protection management system that we have developed with the aim of identifying potential risks at an early stage and averting damage to the company. On the procurement side, we want to position the DKV Mobility Group as a "customer of choice" and ensure that all important suppliers comply with our Code of Conduct (CoC).

Sustainable products and services

Truck and fleet customers are faced with increasing complexity caused by changes in energy supply and regulations.

We play an active role in this process by offering our customers sustainable products and services.

As a driving force of change, we adapt the new energy supply to our customers' requirements and provide all the necessary products and services to make this transition as efficient and successful as possible.

Electric vehicles are crucial for decarbonizing road transport and achieving climate targets. We want to support our customers in accelerating the transition of their fleets to zero-emission vehicles. Our goal is to provide access to one of Europe's largest e-roaming networks for charging electric vehicles at public and semi-public charging stations and to offer our customers the best possible charging experience - regardless of where they prefer to charge: at work, at home or on the road.

Alternative fuels such as natural gas, biomethane or hydrogen are another important key to greater energy efficiency and climate protection in the transport sector. Our aim is to play a pioneering role in the use of alternative energy sources in road transport with the largest independent filling station network for alternative fuels in Europe.

Our aim is to enable drivers, dispatchers and fleet managers to manage their company fleets efficiently and operate them sustainably. To this end, we offer digital products and services that create transparency in real time and can optimize routes, for example. This not only saves costs but also reduces emissions in the long term.

It is our clear goal to offer our customers the most convenient toll solution for all vehicle types throughout Europe. Our toll boxes allow drivers to continue their journey without interruption, which eases traffic flow, reduces congestion and ultimately avoids climate-damaging emissions. With our "DKV Box Europe" toll box, we offer our customers the opportunity to pay tolls in numerous European countries with just one toll box.

It is one of our priorities and our responsibility to avoid and reduce CO₂ emissions wherever possible. However, for the vast majority of our customers, it is not yet possible to conduct their business effectively with fleets without combustion engines. In this case, voluntarily supporting climate protection projects is one way of contributing to climate protection. With our DKV Card CLIMATE, we give our customers access to high-quality and attractively priced climate protection projects. DKV Card NGO

Successful entrepreneurship and socio-political responsibility are inextricably linked. Social commitment has always been part of DKV Mobility's self-image. This is another reason why we have committed ourselves to the guidelines of the UN Global Compact.

Associations, non-profit limited companies, social initiatives - they all form the pillars of our community of solidarity, which we want to support responsibly - with our products, with financial resources, but also with helping hands from our own organization who actively lend a hand.

For non-profit organizations in Germany, for example, we offer the DKV Card NGO , a subsidized fuel card product:

  • free of charge
  • refuel and support climate protection projects - we pay the climate protection contribution
  • One card for all services

In principle, organizations that operate as tax-privileged corporations or associations on a voluntary, non-profit basis or for the benefit of the general public are eligible for funding.

EcoVadis

In order to have our sustainability performance assessed, we undergo the EcoVadis Sustainability Rating every year. EcoVadis is one of the world's leading sustainability platforms for companies. It evaluates and reviews the actual performance of companies in the areas of environment, labor and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement. DKV Mobility was most recently (December 2023) awarded a platinum medal (82/100 points) by EcoVadis, placing it in the top 1% of over 100,000 companies assessed.

In 2023, DKV Mobility Group SE commissioned an ESG rating from Sustainalytics. Sustainalytics, a Morningstar company, is a leading independent ESG and corporate governance research, rating and analysis firm that supports investors worldwide in the development and implementation of responsible investment strategies. In December 2023, DKV Mobility was rated with a "negligible" risk (7.5), placing it in the top 1% of over 15,700 companies worldwide rated by Sustainalytics.

Excellent employer

In 2022, DKV Mobility was awarded the "Top Employer" certificate by the "Top Employers Institute" for the sixth time in a row. This award recognizes companies that act as responsible employers and offer their employees excellent working conditions.

"Great Place to Work" is the global seal of approval for a good workplace culture. Based on employee surveys, "Great Place to Work" evaluates how companies act internally with regard to their work culture and helps them to continuously improve. In 2023, DKV Mobility was recognized as a "Great Place to Work" in Germany and Italy and listed as one of 15 top employers in Germany.
